"To provide co-ordinated, coherent and innovative quality education business links across the Black Country, that prepare young people for employment and continued learning; whilst enabling businesses to both contribute and benefit from raised educational standards." The Black Country Education Business Link Consortium was formed in March 2001 and comprises the key agencies involved in the planning and delivery of education business links in the sub-region. The BCEBL Consortium partners hold regular meetings to: develop the strategy for education business links in the Black Country whilst taking account of the broader national, sub-regional and local contexts for educational change and economic and labour market influences ensure that there is coherence and quality in the education business link provision across the Black Country enable joint planning and delivery to take place encourage joint applications for funding monitor progress encourage common systems and enable new products to be developed share good practice and expertise support all of the partners
